With the new edition of Traveller being released earlier this year, the license for the previous edition is coming to a close. With that we are putting all of our Traveller products on sale. Download many of our Traveller titles that will not be updated to Second Edition right away at 60% off.
Grab titles like Creatures of Distant Worlds Compendium, Mech Tech ‘n’ bot: Mech Squadrons, and Player Career Pack all for 60% off.
Even Foreven Worlds is not completely immune. The four subsectors are designed to be edition-change resistant and will be quickly updated. Foreven Worlds: Vehicles of the Frontier will have to wait until the new Vehicle Handbook is finalized before we can start updating it. So it too is on sale. Grab it now while it is available at 60% off.
Grab this sale while you can before these titles are gone. Head over to DriveThruRPG/RPGNow and the OpenGamingStore to download these titles today.
What exactly does it mean for these products? When you say the license is ending, does that mean you’ll be removing these products from the stores? If we buy any of them, will we get updated versions for the second edition? If we buy some of them now, will we still be able to (re)download them from the store after the license ends?
It means I can no longer sell them. You will be able to download them once the license ends. Have no fear about that. Some we will be reposting as OGL products without the Traveller logo on them. I cannot say exactly which at moment since I have to go through them all and figure out which can and which cannot be done that way. And even if it is reposted without the Traveller logo on them, it will take time (maybe it will be done this year, maybe not).
Some will get an update to second edition. Those that do, it will not be a straight conversion; we will expand on it. Small books like the Creatures of Distant Worlds Compendium and Mech Tech ‘n’ bot: Fighters and Small Ships were great as 16 page books back when that was huge for my company. Today, however, I routinely do books that side and make much larger releases a continual goal. Doing a 2e version of our older works will mean they get an expanded release.
