Today we are releasing two new d66 lists for your games. We are bringing you d66 Reasons for an Amber Alert System and d66 Reasons for a Red Alert System. Some worlds are just so dangerous that a travel advisory needs to be posted. Some only potentially dangerous and receive an Amber Alert. Others are outright illegal for unauthorized personnel to enter or otherwise life threatening and require a Red Alert. These reasons for such an alert can be varied and wide ranging. Now you can have 36 different reasons for each such alert for your game. Download these today at DriveThruRPG or RPGNow.com.

Pathfinder: Legendary Foes Approaching
With the PDF being released in a mere 2 weeks, it is time to start the previews for the Book of Beasts: Legendary Foes. We are starting off today with one of the lowest level monster in the book, a CR 15 creature. That’s right, this book starts at CR 15. So if you like your games at high levels, this is the monster book for you. This monster book is exactly what you need to run a high level game. It has a total of 34 vicious monsters and 11 hard to construct NPCs you can use in your game right away. Today’s monster is the blightrat. This monster is particularly scary to dwarves since it can make all your hair fall out. That’s right dwarves, so proud of your braids and beards. We bring you the “rust monster” of hair. Happy hunting.

Special Abilities
Aura of Disease Vulnerability (Su) A creature within a blightrat’s 30-foot aura of disease vulnerability that is not immune to disease must succeed on a Fortitude save (DC 23) or suffer a –8 penalty to all saving throws against disease for 1d4 minutes. A creature affected by this ability multiple times increases the penalty by –2 each time. The save DC is Charisma-based.
Blightbite Disease (Su) Bite—injury; save Fort DC 27, onset 1d2 days, frequency 1 day, effect 1d4 Charisma damage, cure 2 consecutive saves. The diseased creature’s hair falls out in small clumps every day the save is failed. A creature with little hair, such as an elf or human, loses all of its hair after 2d3 days of failed saving throws. Hairier creatures, such as dwarves, lose all their hair after 2d6 days. Creatures with fur, such as catfolk and ratfolk, have no hair left after 2d10 days. Remove disease has no effect on this ability; only limited wish or more powerful magic will remove the disease. A creature that loses hair or fur from this disease begins to regrow its hair 1d2 weeks after the disease ends. The save DC is Constitution-based.
Nauseating Disease (Su) Claw—injury; save Fort DC 27, onset 1d3 days, frequency 1 day, effect 1d3 Constitution damage plus nauseated, cure 2 consecutive saves. A successful remove disease attempt removes the nauseated condition for the day; it has no other effect on this ability. Only limited wish or more powerful magic will remove the disease. The save DC is Constitution-based.
Poweful Bite (Ex) A blightrat’s bite attack naturally has a critical threat range of 18–20.
Even the drow know to stay away from a blightrat and the region where a full pox nests. This creature is a nightmare for those that are vulnerable to disease and value their hair, such as duergars and other dwarves, who think twice before facing a blightrat.
Highly aggressive and fiercely territorial, a blightrat will attack any creature that enters its territory unless the creature comes bearing tribute. Leaving a token of good will, such as moldy cheese or a mound of maggot-filled, spoiled meat about the size of a Medium creature, at the edge of the blightrat’s territory will often appease the creature. Blightrats also value gemstones and magic items, which they add to their hoards. Providing such gifts earns favor with a blightrat, paving the way for negotiations with it.
A blightrat stands 11 feet tall when on its hind legs and weighs about 3,000 pounds.
The Book of Beasts: Legendary Foes will be available for download on July 16th from DriveThruRPG/RPGNow, Paizo.com or d20PFSRD. Also, the print book will be available at your Local Game Store, Paizo and DriveThruRPG/RPGNow.
Pathfinder: Class Options from Shadowsfall
The Shadowsfall: Shadow Plane Player’s Companion details the Plane of Shadows in a player friendly way. It provides you with short descriptions of the whole area plus it provides with a number of character options that help you to get a feel for the setting through a number of class options. Below are two such class options found in this Player’s Companion, one for a cleric, the other for a cavalier. We hope it enhances your world and your game.
Order of the Blackened Heart (Cavalier Order)
Cavaliers who join the order of the blackened heart dedicate themselves to purity of mind and body through the use of pain and torture, much like their kyton masters. Members of this order tend to be cruel and ruthless towards those who cannot defend themselves. Most of this order’s members dwell within the stronghold of Bloodchain, but they can be found in the Outlands as well as all other strongholds – even Bastion is home to a few members of this order.
Edicts: The cavalier must at all times seek self-perfection through pain and suffering, looking to cut away the parts of her life that cause weakness. She must be honest to the point of cruelty, able to make hard choices, and ready at all times to enforce those choices. She chooses to inflict pain upon those she cares about the most, cutting away their weaknesses and making them stronger.
Challenge: Whenever an order of the blackened heart cavalier issues a challenge, she inflicts 1 point of non-lethal damage to the target of her challenge in addition to the normal damage she deals. This non-lethal damage increases by +1 for every four levels the cavalier possesses.
Skills: An order of the blackened heart cavalier adds Heal (Wis) and Knowledge (planes) (Int) to her list of class skills. In addition, an order of the blackened heart cavalier adds her Strength modifier to her Intimidate skill when attempting to demoralize a creature. This bonus does not stack with the Intimidating Prowess feat.
Order Abilities: A cavalier belonging to the order of the blackened heart gains the following abilities as she increases in level.
Pain Giver (Ex): At 2nd level, the cavalier excels at inflicting pain upon her foes. She can inflict non-lethal damage with a weapon that normally deals lethal damage without taking the normal -4 penalty to her attack rolls.
Fear Monger (Ex): At 8th level, the cavalier is a master at making the weak fear her. Anytime a cavalier inflicts nonlethal damage upon her target, the cavalier may attempt to demoralize that target as a free action. Also, she gains the amount of non-lethal damage she inflicted upon her target as a bonus to the demoralize attempt.
Deadly Strike (Ex): At 15th level, the cavalier brings death to the weak. As long as the cavalier’s attack inflicts non-lethal damage, she may choose to inflict 1d4 points of Constitution damage on the same attack. She can use this ability once per round
Shadow Subdomain
Associated Domains: Darkness.
Replacement Power: The following granted power replaces the eyes of darkness power of the Darkness domain.
Overwhelmed by Shadow (Su): At 8th level you can cause a creature to become overwhelmed with darkness, costing the creature its darkvision. If a creature within 30 foot fails its Will save, it loses its darkvision ability for a number of rounds equal to 1/2 your cleric level. You can use this ability once per day at 8th level, and an additional time per day for every four levels beyond 8th.
Replacement Domain Spells: 1st—shadow weapon (favored weapon only) UM, 3rd—shadow step UM, 5th—shadow projection

Pathfinder: Kobolds Love Traps
Riyal, an character I once played, died valiatly some time ago. But his research lives on in the Riyal’s Research series. One of the things he researched are various kinds of traps. Below are two traps that kobolds really enjoy making. I hope they enhance your mishaps when facing off against the honorable and brave (I means cowardly and underhanded) kobold warriors.
Kobold Razortooth Trap CR 1
Type mechanical; Perception DC 29; Disable Device DC 15
Effects
Trigger location; Reset automatic; Bypass small or smaller creatures do not set off this trap
Effect tooth tipped spears (Atk +0 melee, 1d4 spear plus poison [black adder venom])
A favorite among kobolds, a razor-sharp, tooth tipped spear extends from a small hole in the wall when this trap is triggered. In order to set it off, the creature must be a medium or larger creature. Small creatures do not weigh enough to set off this trap. Since the trigger requires a creature of so much weight for the trap to go off, the spear’s aim is not terribly great. Many creatures experience the rush of air as the spear extending out mere inches in front of them. Trap cost: 1,250 gp. Construction DC: Craft (traps) 25
Acid Dump Trap CR 3
Type mechanical; Perception DC 20; Disable Device DC 20
Effects
Trigger location; Reset repair; Bypass hidden switch (Perception DC 25 to locate)
Effect acid drop (never miss, 2d6 acid plus 1d3 bludgeoning)
Another favorite of kobolds, the trigger for this trap is opening a door built for small size creatures. The door is always left open slightly so the kobolds can use ranged weapons from behind this trap. Even though most creatures will have cover, the point of firing ranged weapons is to distract the creatures from searching for traps. When a creature rushes through the doorway, a bowl crashes down on the opener, pouring out its acid. The trap can be disarmed by pressing a particular rock near the doorway. This rock moves a stone underneath the bowl, providing it enough support that it will stay in place for 2 rounds. If the door is not returned to its original position by this time, the trap is triggered. Trap cost: 3,000 gp. Construction DC: Craft (traps) 20.

Pathfinder: Personalize Your Spellbook
The greatest spellcaster’s create their own spells so solve problems common to them. We gathered up a number of our favorite spells and put them in Book of Magic: Signature Spells 1 and 2. One of these great is Rostov. The character was inspired by the character from Night in the Lonesome October and the player created several several spells that fit well. So, we are sharing a few of those spells with you to include in your game.

Range personal
Target you
Duration 1 round/level, see text

Poisoned creatures take 1d2 Constitution damage each round the Fort save is failed for 4 rounds. Poisoned creatures must succeed two consecutive saving throws to cure the poison. Unarmed strike is not affected by this spell. You cannot become poisoned by your own natural weapons for the duration of this spell.
ROSTOV’S SNAKE STRIKE
School transmutation; Level bard 2, druid 2, magus 2, sorcerer/wizard 2
Casting Time 1 standard action
